I want to take a moment to acknowledge the hard work of our Health Services staff.  They have immunized over 200 children to date at JFK Middle School and the Northampton High School for influenza!!!  Now they are tackling staff immunizations.

We are hoping that our students and staff members stay healthy this year.  Here are a few tips from Karen Jarvis-Vance our Director of Health Services, Health Education and Safety:

  • Wash your hands
  • Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze
  • Keep your hands away from your eyes and out of your mouth.
  • Don’t share water bottles, food or other personal items.
  • Avoid anyone who’s sick.
  • Eat a healthy diet
  • Get plenty of sleep
  • Stay current on immunizations
  • Stay home if you are sick

Jackson Street School will be hosting a Family Clinic on Monday December 6th from 5pm-7pm.  Immunizations will be provided for all ages and is free of charge.  You do not need to pre-register, you simply need to show up.
